What is the Hair Growth Protocol?

The Hair Growth Protocol (HGP®) is a structured, non-surgical program for increased shedding and hair thinning. Rather than a fixed package, your protocol is matched to your situation through a clinical assessment at your consultation. Outcomes vary between individuals.

Who it's for

The Hair Growth Protocol may be suitable for men and women experiencing increased shedding and hair thinning. It can be used on its own or alongside other treatments, including a hair transplant, where clinically appropriate. Suitability varies between individuals and is determined at your consultation.

How it works

The in-clinic treatment is scalp microneedling, performed with an ARTG-registered microneedling device by our nurses. Numbing with local anaesthetic is offered as standard, and a session takes around 30 minutes. Treatment usually begins with four initial sessions two weeks apart, followed by maintenance every three to four months based on your individual needs.

When you start treatment, a baseline Hairmetrix AI scalp analysis is taken, and changes are reviewed against it as your protocol continues, so your plan can be adjusted over time.

Why the individualised approach matters

Hair loss has different underlying causes, so a plan built on your clinical assessment and Hairmetrix findings is directed at what may be driving yours specifically. Because progress is measured over time, the plan can be reviewed and adjusted as your protocol continues.

The consultation

There are two ways to start, and each can lead to treatment on its own.

  • Free nurse video consultation. An opportunity to discuss your hair concerns and treatment options with one of our nurses, from home. No scan. There is no obligation to proceed with treatment.
  • Doctor consultation. A paid, in-person appointment with one of our doctors for a full clinical assessment and a Hairmetrix AI scalp analysis, with a treatment plan tailored to you.

Every client who proceeds to treatment receives a baseline Hairmetrix scan, included in the treatment cost. Flexible payment options are available, and your costs are explained in full at your consultation.

Why choose Hair Doctors?

Before and After Photo Disclaimer

The before and after images presented on this website illustrate the results of individuals who have undergone hair transplant procedures. Please be aware that results may vary significantly based on several factors, including hair type, density, skin condition, age, overall health, individual immune response, and whether or not patients take prescription hair loss medication.

It is important to note that a hair transplant is considered a minor surgical procedure. While the risk of complications is low, it is essential that these risks are discussed in depth with our team before proceeding. This ensures that you have a comprehensive understanding of the procedure and can make an informed decision.
